The Little Black Dress

So far this month we’ve seen some great metallic dresses, Kate Moss, Cara Delevinge and Kristen Stewart all showing some seasonal glitz.  But for most of us a gold maxi dress with a split to the thigh may be seen as overdressing.  A nice LBD can be worn time and time again and there are some lovely little numbers on the high street.

  1. I love this little Ted Baker dress. It’s classic shape and silk textured panels on the sides create the illusion of a tiny waist.  It would work well with a  studded or embellished collar.
  2. This coast bandeau dress is beautiful as is. It’s structured bodice adds a touch of elegance to the dress. Great for boyish or pear shapes.
  3. This French Connection dress is lightly flared and has great movement. You’ll look great on the dance floor. I tried it on, and it’s a tad stretchy so fits to perfection.
  4. Another French Connection. This body con dress has a very feminine bateau neckline and is easy to wear.
  5. Peplum Dress by Mango.
  6. Allsaints collar embellished body con dress. I recommend wearing with big heels and cuffs.
  7. Love these jewelled Kurt Geigers.
  8. Diamante-embellished pointed court shoes by Dune.
  9. I think these Jimmy Choos speak for themselves.
  10. Ted Baker fur jacket. Great for cold evenings.
  11. Both blazers by Topshop.
  12. Elastic embellished belt at Accessorise. Great for clinching in the waist of your LBD.
  13. Swarovski for French Connection.
  14. Accessories.
  15. This cute little bow suede bag by Mango.
  16. Clutch at Zara.
  17. Little enveloped clutch by oasis .

  1. Kate Moss wearing Marc Jacobs.
  2. This 70′s inspired Temperley dress is Oscar ready.
  3. Strapless metallic dress at Coast.
  4. This dress at Very, could have been plucked right out of essex but hey its Christmas.
  5.  and 6 , Both by Isabella Olivier, my favourite label this year.

I would love to see any photos of you donning these outfits.
